This half-day workshop builds on the foundation of our previous workshops to extend a public garden GIS to the entire organization and the public. Participants will learn how to use Esri’s ArcGIS Parks and Gardens solution to synchronize plant records information between the Parks and Gardens Information Model and IrisBG, how to create an interpretive web mapping application to share plant records information with staff, researchers, and visitors, and how to create a work order management system. Participants will also learn about crucial concepts and geographic information system theory, field data collection solutions, cartography, and additional resources available for creating a public garden GIS. This workshop is sponsored by Esri and the Alliance for Public Gardens GIS.
