Disneyland Behind-the-Scenes Tour
Event Type:
The Living Landscape
Date / Time:
Thu June, 07 - 5:00am to 7:00am
Meets at the Disneyland Grand Ballroom Center Lounge

Disneyland opened in 1955 as a place that brought Walt Disney’s stories and characters to life through immersive storytelling and entertainment. Throughout the past six decades, Walt’s original theme park has never stopped changing, adding new stories and characters that are cherished around the world. You are invited to an early morning tour of “The Happiest Place on Earth” to see how the horticulture and resort enhancement teams prepare the park each day. Before our park opens to guests, you will have the chance to see a wide variety of plant specimens and learn how we care for them in such a unique environment. Along the way, you’ll learn how we decorate the park overnight and what it takes to design the Disney way. Horticulture and Resort Enhancement team members will describe the jobs they do and talk about how they manage work on the ‘third shift’ (2:00–10:30 a.m.). Our Cast Members will talk about the collaborative nature of project development at the Resort, and detail the impact of ever increasing numbers of visitors on the day-to-day work of the department. This walking tour will begin bright and early at Main Street U.S.A and include visits to Fantasyland and Frontierland with insight into seasonal floral displays, theming, props, animated windows and more! Bring your walking shoes, dress comfortably, and please leave large bags behind. Please leave your cameras at the hotel as no photography is allowed.
