Any garden or organization can benefit from a diversified volunteer corps with differing skill sets as well as being a welcoming and supportive space. Panelists will share successful stories, workplace/onboarding strategies, and offer resources for working with volunteers with disabilities. How can gardens embrace and harness the power of this audience and prospective volunteers to further institutional missions? After attending this session, participants should feel prepared to respond when they receive an application from a volunteer or group of volunteers with a disability. Participants should feel supported in knowing the successes of working with volunteers with disabilities and know what resources are available to them.
